General information about KHSC 2026

The Kenya Health Scientific Convention (KHSC) is a national forum that brings together public health professionals, One Health practitioners, researchers, policymakers, partners, academia, the private sector, and other stakeholders to share evidence, innovations, and best practices to strengthen Kenya's public health system.

The convention is organized by the Kenya National Public Health Institute (KNPHI), a semi-autonomous government institution mandated to strengthen Kenya's public health system, in collaboration with various stakeholders.

Yes. County government employees are encouraged to participate and are expected to make up the majority of delegates attending the convention.

Registration will be conducted online through the official registration portal. The portal is expected to open by mid-February. Once live, the registration link will be shared on this website and through official communication channels.

No. Abstracts cannot be submitted via email. All abstracts must be submitted through the official abstract submission portal https://abstracts.khsc.site/ by 15th March 2026. This ensures a standardized, fair, and transparent review process.

No. There is no fee required to submit an abstract.

Yes. An individual may submit more than one abstract, provided each submission meets the stated guidelines and fits in the outlined thematic areas.
